Women Building A Better Community
For over 90 years, the Junior League of Saint Paul has improved the Saint Paul community through Members working together to identify unmet needs, forging effective coalitions and working for change, all on a volunteer basis. No other nonprofit works quite the way that Junior Leagues do. Acting with courage and commitment, the Junior League of Saint Paul is proud to be among the first organizations to step up to the community's biggest challenges.
JLSP's current initiative, Building Bonds through Reading and Play, seeks to reduce child abuse by promoting programs that create connections between adults and children. JLSP's Library Kids program gives pre-kindergarten children in Saint Paul a book along with educational materials for caregivers on the importance of reading with children. Saint Paul Plays! brings the developmental value and connection-making power of play to Saint Paul families through play events at area Recreation Centers.
