Our Fundraisers
To support the Junior League of Saint Paul, members plan and participate in various fundraising efforts such as:
Next-To-New Sale
Each fall the Junior League of Saint Paul holds a fabulous Next-To-New Sale. This one-day super-sized "garage" sale features new and gently used merchandise donated by Junior League members, neighbors, friends, and local businesses. Sale items include home decorations, sporting goods, linens, books, clothing, and furniture. Shoppers hunt for great bargains and quality merchandise at this much-anticipated annual fundraising event.
Cookbook
Created by the Junior Leagues of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Always Superb: Recipes for Every Occasion is a collaborative fundraising effort. The goal was to create an award-winning cookbook that captures the taste, style and spirit of the Twin Cities community. Whether hosting lunch at the cabin or dinner in black tie, these recipes and tips for entertaining will ensure that every meal is always superb and every memory one to be shared.
Fund/Resource Development and Grant Development
The Fund/Resource Development Committee researches, develops, and directs the multi-faceted fundraising effort of the Junior League. Responsibilities include overseeing the Annual Fund Campaign and the Tribute Fund and exploring gifting possibilities from individuals, corporations and foundations. JLSP aggressively seeks foundation support through grant writing. This committee also evaluates the success of current Junior League fundraisers and researches additional opportunities to raise money.
ASID Showcase Home
The Junior League of Saint Paul partners with the Minnesota Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and MPLS. ST. PAUL Magazine for their annual Showcase Home. Volunteers from JLSP and other non-profits staff the ASID Showcase Home during the 4-week run, and a portion of ticket sale proceeds is donated to each non-profit organization. The next magnificently remodeled showcase home opens to the public in May 2008. Each room will highlight the work and artistic flair of local ASID member interior designers.
